Flashgitz Copper Cup Recall – FAQ
What product is being recalled?
Why is the cup being recalled?
We conducted additional 3rd party testing on the copper cup and discovered elevated lead levels that did not match the 3rd party testing reports originally provided by the manufacturer. Because your safety is extremely important to us, we decided to recall the cups and replace them.
What should I do if I have the cup?
Please stop using the cup immediately and do not use it for drinking or food contact. Dispose of the cup according to your local disposal guidelines (e.g., Household Hazardous Waste drop-off locations). Until it is disposed of, please keep the cup away from children.
I already used the cup. Should I be worried?
If you have concerns, please speak with a healthcare professional who can provide guidance based on your individual situation.
Can I keep the cup as a collectible?
No. Because elevated lead levels were detected, the cup should not be kept, even as a collectible. We ask that customers dispose of it safely according to local guidelines and keep it away from children until it is discarded.
Will I receive a replacement?
Yes. Everyone who purchased the Relic Box will receive a replacement cup that will be designed and tested to be safe for beverage use. We will share more information about production and shipping timelines as soon as it becomes available.
Do I need to return the cup?
No return is required. Customers should safely dispose of the cup according to local disposal guidelines.
Are other Flashgitz products affected?
No. This recall only affects the copper cup included in the “No Girls Allowed” Relic Box.
What happened with the manufacturer?
Our additional testing showed results that were inconsistent with the 3rd party reports originally provided by the manufacturer. We are currently taking steps to address the situation, including exploring our legal options.
